20 years of gemeinsam werben

20 years is a long and exciting time to look back on our lively communications agency. As you walk around the agency, looking for memories, you realize that everything is actually new. Digital technology now dominates the picture – even meetings tend to take place at monitors.

Whether concept, creation or organization – the whirring printer rarely starts up anymore. Information is constantly being exchanged via the second screen. Many books on the shelf are outdated, but their status as contemporary witnesses prevents them from being thrown out. Fewer and fewer paper products are ending up in our archive cabinet for printed matter. Hmm, what has happened to all the family printing presses? Forests in Finland must be thriving, because not much printing is being done anymore. As a full-service agency, we have calibration devices to precisely control the printing on our monitors, but hardly anyone else can use them. Why should they? Information on the internet is often faster, better organized and more sustainable.

Anyone who has been around for so long can confirm that a lot has happened in 20 years. Efficient digital processes have become a matter of course. And to be honest, we have also parted with many, often cumbersome processes. Quieter, faster, more sustainable, friendlier. Our green screen studio, which was added 10 years ago, is one example. 4K and livestream, LED, teleprompter and radio links – technology can be fun, a bit like a model railway. And it’s a great example of how content creation connects different channels. More complex marketing models require more complex technology and vice versa.

Digital possibilities no longer dictate where we are or which paths lead to our customers’ customers. That’s why we are now a core team in Hamburg with a network of specialists who are called in as needed. The collaboration often takes place online. This process is also reflected in our customers, which has accelerated the exchange. This has also changed the workflow.

In terms of content, our focus shifted from the financial sector to the healthcare sector, because we still feel comfortable with products that require explanation and communication around these products. Renewable energies fit well with this, as a challenging interface between finance, social dialogue, sustainability and digitalization. Accordingly, B2B is the core of our consulting, even though we are always involved in projects in other areas that we find exciting.

We are entering the next decade with AI with curiosity. We have successfully launched the first campaigns in this rapidly growing world (with the appropriate disclaimer, of course) and are quite satisfied with the robot college. Even though a lot of work and prompting is still needed to achieve meaningful results. But the clock is ticking and it is important to design the workflow in such a way that it benefits the agency and thus the customer. This is where experience comes into play again, because when it comes to strategic decisions, it is best to sit at a real table, drink coffee, look each other in the eye and start thinking in a goal-oriented manner.

Fine-tuning strategies together at eye level, with all our experience and fresh ideas, is our way into the future. We are happy to be inspired by new possibilities and participants, because we never want to lose sight of people. We started together and, thanks to this constant process of renewal, we will continue to advertise together for many years to come. We are always happy to be able to offer an up-to-date service that is characterized by the passion and curiosity of everyone involved.

That is why we will be hosting a talk show at the Grüner Jäger this summer, which will focus on the exciting topic of truth. We’ll be keeping an eye on it…
